Meet Simona Lacko, the Founder of the OneMum Foundation — a woman running on pure determination, strategic vision, and an impressive amount of coffee.

Building a non-profit organization from the ground up means wearing every possible hat in a single afternoon. On any given day, Simona transitions seamlessly from executive visionary to volunteer manager, and full-time troubleshooter.

At her core, though, Simona keeps things delightfully grounded. She’s a simple woman who puts her heart into raising her children as best she can, while being deeply devoted to her huge family, husband, parents, and loved ones. When she’s not keeping the household running or organizing non-profit operations, you’ll probably find her out in nature clearing her head—usually through long-distance running or hiking.

Oh, and just to keep her calendar completely packed, she is also studying at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJŠ), where she’s on track to graduate in 2027. While most people might ask how she manages to balance family, university exams, trail runs, and founding an organization all at once, Simona just calls that “a typical Tuesday.”
