\nAt OneMum Foundation n.o.<\/strong> (“we,” “us,” or “our”), we deeply appreciate the generosity of our donors and are committed to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, transparency, and accountability.<\/p>\n

Because OneMum Foundation n.o.<\/strong> provides immediate charitable services and program funding upon receiving contributions, all donations are generally considered final, non-refundable gifts. However, we recognize that extraordinary circumstances or technical errors can occur. This guideline outlines the conditions under which a refund may be granted.<\/p>\n

1. Non-Refundable Nature of Charitable Donations<\/strong>
\nUnder applicable tax laws, voluntary contributions made to support a non-profit organization are irrevocable gifts once processed. Except as explicitly detailed below, donations\u2014whether one-time or recurring\u2014cannot be refunded or returned.<\/p>\n

2. Exceptions Eligible for Refund<\/strong>
\nWe will consider refund requests only under the following specific circumstances:<\/p>\n

A. Processing or System Errors<\/em>
\nDuplicate Charges: You were accidentally charged multiple times for a single intended transaction due to a technical glitch or website error.
\nData Entry Error: An incorrect donation amount was processed (e.g., entering $1,000 instead of $100) due to a typographical error.
\nB. Unauthorized or Fraudulent Activity<\/em>
\nA donation was processed using your payment card or bank details without your authorization, knowledge, or consent as a result of fraudulent activity or identity theft.
\nC. Recurring Donation Admin Errors<\/em>
\nYou submitted a formal cancellation request for a recurring gift prior to the scheduled billing date, but the automatic charge was still processed due to an administrative error on our end.<\/p>\n

3. Refund Request Procedure & Deadline<\/strong>
\nTo request a refund under one of the eligible exceptions listed above, you must submit a written request within 30 calendar days of the transaction date.<\/p>\n

How to Submit a Request:<\/strong>
\nEmail Us: Send an email to hello@onemum.org<\/strong> with the subject line: Refund Request – [Your Full Name]<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Provide Details:
\nInclude the following information in your request:
\nFull name of the donor
\nDate and time of the transaction
\nExact donation amount
\nPayment method used (e.g., credit card type, last 4 digits)
\nTransaction reference\/receipt number
\nDetailed explanation of the reason for the refund request<\/p>\n

4. Refund Review and Processing<\/strong>
\nReview Period: Once received, our finance team will review your request within 5 to 7 business days.
\nMethod of Refund: If approved, refunds will be issued only to the original payment method used to make the initial donation (e.g., credited back to the original credit card). Refunds will not be issued in cash, check, or to a different account.
\nProcessing Time: Depending on your financial institution or credit card provider, it may take 5 to 10 additional business days for the credited funds to reflect on your statement.<\/p>\n

5. Tax Deductibility & Receipts Impact<\/strong>
\nIf a refund is granted:
\nAny tax receipt issued for the refunded transaction becomes null and void.
\nYou must adjust your personal tax filings accordingly to reflect the refunded amount and refrain from claiming the transaction as a tax-deductible charitable contribution.
\nIf a tax receipt was already issued, OneMum Foundation n.o. will issue a corrected receipt or cancellation notice for accounting and tax records.<\/p>\n

6. Disputes and Chargebacks<\/strong>
\nWe strongly encourage donors to contact us directly to resolve any payment concerns. Initiating a credit card chargeback through your bank creates unnecessary administrative fees for our non-profit mission. We are committed to working directly with you to resolve valid errors promptly and fairly.<\/p>\n
